Jared Courtney has been involved with endurance sports since middle school: he began Nordic skiing in the 8th grade at Belmont Hill School, where he also ran cross country and rowed on the varsity teams for four years each. Jared then rowed on the Varsity Lightweight Crew at the University of Pennsylvania and began coaching crew shortly after he graduated.
Jared is currently the head coach of Varsity Nordic Skiing at Belmont Hill School, where he is also a member of the school’s faculty and lives in the dormitories. He also coaches with EMBK in the winter time. Jared has coached boys’ and girls’ varsity rowing at Noble and Greenough School, Community Rowing, Berkshire School, and Belmont Hill School.
